And to start by celebrating 40 years, given that it was not possible to call back to Milan so many authors who made the history of the festival, the only way to feel them close was for Filmmaker to create a network of Correspondences . From this experience a new section was born, free for everyone, starting from tomorrow, Wednesday 25 November as a preview of the festival, with Carlo S. Hintermann and his Letter to a cat. Real little haiku, cinema gestures: a constellation to tell Filmmaker, from Ben Rivers to Anne Lee Schmitt with Gaia Giani strong>, from Luis Fulvio / Franco Maresco to Monica Stambrini .
It will then open on Friday 27 November War and Peace by Massimo D’Anolfi and Martina Parenti, already applauded at the Venice Exhibition strong > and soon in theaters with Istituto Luce Cinecittà. From the Fuori Concorso, we point out two masters: Frederick Wiseman , one of the greatest living filmmakers, already winner of the Golden Lion and the Oscar for Lifetime Achievement, with his latest, as always fluvial , City Hall ; and another Golden Lion, Jia Zhangke , which in Swimming Out Till the Sea Turns Blue traces the history of China in eighteen chapters.
